Built circa 1461 by architect Giuliani da Maiano for the Boni family, this palace features a beautiful courtyard and an austere, smooth façade. The name was changed from Palazzo Boni e Martelli to Palazzo Antinori in 1506, when it passed into the hands of the latter family. The Antinori family owned extensive lands and vineyards in both Tuscany and neighbouring Umbria, where they produced and continue to produce great wines, oils and liqueurs.
In addition, in the aforementioned inner courtyard, you will find the stylish restaurant "Cantinetta Antinori", where visitors can sample excellent wines and cheeses as well as other typical regional dishes.
