On the corner of Via de' Pucci is the Palazzo Pucci, whose grand façade occupies the entire street as far as the Via Ricasoli.
The palace is the mansion of clothing designer Emilio Pucci, the Marquis of Barsento. The palace was built in the 16th century and based on the ideas of Bartolomeo Ammannati, who designed this splendid building for the Pucci family, former allies of the Medici who were most influential in the city's story.
On the Via della Vigna Nuova today you will find the designer's outlet, where customers are attended to in the rooms of the palace. The designer is also responsible for the blue uniforms of the Florentine urban guard. So, as you may guess, store prices are not exactly cheap, but you can always pop in for a look.
