Museo Nazionale delle Paste Alimentari

Museo Nazionale delle Paste Alimentari (26)

In Rome, close to the Fontana di Trevi, is this curious museum in which you will find out everything you ever wanted to know about the world of pasta, if, of course, you ever felt such a curiosity.

The fact is that the National Pasta Museum is a very well organised place and, all things considered, is really aimed at children. The idea was that of Vincenzo Agnesi, a well-known businessman from the sector, who decided to create a space to show how this Basic food in the Mediterranean diet was made.

Here you will find the full history of pasta, as well as the process and machinery that is used to make it and the different forms it is presented in. There are also art and photography exhibitions with pasta as the main subject matter, such as different personalities enjoying the Italians’ favourite dish.

So that you can fully understand everything, you will be provided with a portable CD player with explanations in several languages about everything you will see.
