Isla Mágica [Magic Island] is a theme park that opened in 1997 and occupies most of Isla de la Cartuja, where the World’s Fair was held in 1992. After the fair ended, the decision was made to build an amusement park on the same site.
Isla Mágica recreates centuries of discoveries, in particular the travles of the explorers who left the port of Seville for the New World.
So if you’re an amusement-park aficionado, be sure to visit this one, which is divided into districts such as “The Pirate’s Cove,” “El Dorado,” “Amazonia” or the “Quetzal” area. The park is also home to a rollercoaster that goes more than 50 mph, as well as theatrical shows and street performances, and it even has an Omnimax theatre.
