Far East Square

Far East Square (21)

If you want to discover another side of Orchard Road, go to Far East Square. A vibrant shopping and entertainment complex, located in the heart of Singapore’s financial district.

Nestled between Amoy, Pekin and Telok Ayer Streets, the complex opened its doors in 1999, proudly offering a lively mix of restaurants, cafes, pubs and trendy shops. Today, more than ten years later, it already has more than 600 places where, in addition to good food, you'll also find stores with all kinds of products at very low prices.  This is the place for the latest fashion in clothes and footwear, home accessories, electronics, as well as hairdressing salons, piercing and tattoo parlours.

After a pleasant downtown stroll, there is nothing better than giving yourself a little culinary treat. The challenge will be to choose, since in Far East Square there is a delicious choice of restaurants to delight your palate: authentic Min cuisine, specialties from Thailand, Japan, Korea and India, Cantonese delicacies as well as, of course, the best Singaporean cuisine.  If you fancy something less sophisticated, you'll also find places for a good sandwich, a pastry or a coffee.

Let us make one final recommendation: do not leave without visiting the Fuk Tak Chi Museum.  Once the oldest Chinese temple in Singapore, it has been completely restored and is now a showcase for the lives of the early immigrants. Open every day from 10 am to 10 pm, the entrance is free.
