Welcome to the bustling Tekka Market. On the outside of this hyperactive commercial centre, you will see dozens of fortune tellers and astrologers, ready to predict your future for just a few dollars.
Once you enter the building, you will discover a charming market with freshly made food on the ground floor. Here you can chose from a host of food and drink stalls, with everything from coffee or juice to a typical local dish.
This market is truly worth a visit to taste the country’s culinary jewels. The advantage is that you can sample the best of local cuisine for much less than you would pay anywhere else.
Do not leave without discovering what lies on the second floor. Go up the stairs and you will see a boulevard of shops of all kinds: clothing, quilts, brass items, antiques, tailors, odd items... a little bit of everything.
Before you start browsing, we recommend that you stop a moment to sit down and watch this incredible spectacle. There are people everywhere, students drinking coffee, shoppers, as well as people just stopping by before going back to work. A place of constant, frenetic activity.
